Sharon Taylor was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from Simon Fraser University. She worked extensively in theatre for many years before switching to television and film. She has trained in martial arts since her twenties, and has a second degree black belt in both karate and kickboxing. Upon learning that Sharon was a black belt kickboxer, the producers of Stargate: Atlantis decided to write it into her character's actions in the episode "The Prodigal." Taylor is also trained in Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
Victoria, a Mi’gmaq entrepreneur from Listuguj, Quebec, recently earned the prestigious 2024 Indspire Award in the Business and Commerce category. With a powerful voice and gift for languages, Victoria is a natural on the stage, moderating and emcee'ing national events that seek to advance economic reconciliation.Earning a fulfilling background in the public service, Victoria has dedicated her efforts to both the First Nation and federal sectors, contributing at the Band, regional, and national levels. Currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the National Indigenous Economic Development Board (NIEDB), Victoria plays a pivotal role in shaping Indigenous economic policy.Victoria is a highly educated professional, holding a BA in political science and an MBA from the University of New Brunswick. From 2020 to 2022, Victoria actively participated in developing the National Indigenous Economic Strategy as a representative of the NIEDB. She also co-chaired a national Steering Committee alongside the Canadian Construction Association.Beyond her professional achievements, Victoria is deeply committed to mentoring and serving as a role model. Actively involved in leadership and capacity development programs, she imparts valuable financial literacy skills to Indigenous youth, contributing to their overall empowerment and success.
